Find a great lesson idea online, but it needs help? Want to align an old favorite to the Idaho Core Standards? Maybe these tools for effective lesson planning can help!
This afternoon a small group of Post Falls’ newest teachers gathered at Ponderosa Elementary to critique a video example of an ineffective lesson and then create a more effective lesson of their own using six different instructional planning tools. The discussion around lesson planning and high-quality instruction was rich and our newest team of teachers walked away with these powerful tools in their back pockets:
- Charlotte Danielson Framework for Teaching Domain Three
- PFSD Observation Form
- EQUIP Rubric
- Fred Jones Tools for Teaching
- Idaho Core Reading Anchor Standards
- Depth of Knowledge Chart
